KUALA LUMPUR – Lee Zii Jia’s manager today confirmed that badminton coach Indra Wijaya will be leaving the world number 2 shuttler.

Despite the mutual separation, Lee Zii Yii, who is also Zii Jia’s sister, said that the 48-year-old Indonesian remained an important mentor to Zii Jia.

“It is with profound sadness that Team LZJ has decided to amicably part ways with coach Indra,” she said via text messaging application WhatsApp today.

“We truly appreciate the efforts that coach Indra had made and he will always remain an important mentor to Zii Jia and the team.”

Earlier, Indra spoke to The Vibes and revealed that his last day would be on November 30.

He said he respected Zii Jia’s decision to go on his own and trusts that the Kedah-born player would do his best in embarking on his next journey. – The Vibes, November 28, 2022
