KUALA LUMPUR – The Youth and Sports Ministry will continue its independent investigation with the Education Ministry into the incident of a volleyball coach slapping two of his players recently.
Even though various parties, including the Malaysia Volleyball Association and one of the players’ parents have responded to the issue, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh said the ministries insisted on the probe.
“The (volleyball) team tweeted. The parent and state exco have spoken,” Hannah said through her tweet.
“But the (youth and sports) ministry will continue our independent investigation because this is not about one coach or two players, but a precedent we are setting for the next generation in sports.
“(Education Minister) Fadhlina Sidek and I are on this together.”
The team tweeted.

Meanwhile, Melaka Youth Development, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman V.P. Shanmugam said the fate of the coach of the Melaka U14 girls’ volleyball squad will be determined tomorrow. – The Vibes, December 3, 2022
