BRAZILIAN soccer star Neymar has spent more than US$1.5 million (RM6.35 million) on a Batmobile Tumbler, a sophisticated replica of the iconic vehicle from the Batman film franchise.

According to news portal VNExpress, the replica car, dubbed the Batmobile Tumbler, resembles Batman's iconic vehicle featured in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight film trilogy - Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

The car is one of only 10 special edition Batmobiles commissioned by Warner Bros. to mark the 85th anniversary of the Batman character.

The Batmobile Tumbler measures 4.65 m in length and 2.8 m in width, built on a steel frame with a carbon fiber and Kevlar body.

It is equipped with a 6.2 L V8 engine producing 525 horsepower, blending combat-style aesthetics with pop culture appeal.

What truly sets the Batmobile Tumbler apart are its unique features: smoke bomb launchers, a simulated jet engine, a non-functional machine gun, movable spoilers and a two-seat cockpit modeled after the one used for Batman and Robin.

Neymar, a longtime Batman fan, even has the superhero's symbol tattooed on his back.

In 2022, he attended the premiere of The Batman and sat inside the Batmobile used by actor Robert Pattinson.

Despite the hefty price tag, Neymar will not be able to drive the Batmobile Tumbler on public roads as it does not meet European road regulations.

Instead, it will be parked in his garage alongside his other cars, including an Audi R8 Spyder V10 Plus, a Ferrari Purosangue, a Bentley Continental GT, an Aston Martin DBX and a Lamborghini Huracan. - July 24, 2025
