5.8-magnitude quake strikes Indonesia’s Flores Sea

KUALA LUMPUR – An earthquake measuring 5.8 magnitude was detected in Flores Sea, Indonesia, at  9.20am today.

According to Malaysia’s Meteorological Department, the quake occurred 228km northeast of Bima at a depth of 616km.

The temblor poses no tsunami threat to Malaysia. – Bernama, January 11, 2021
