5.2-magnitude quake strikes Indonesia sea

KUALA LUMPUR – A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck in the northern part of the Maluku Sea in Indonesia about 7am today.

According to Malaysia’s Meteorological Department, the quake occurred 132km east of Bitung, at a depth of 83km.

It poses no tsunami threat to Malaysia. – Bernama, January 16, 2021
