KUALA LUMPUR –The government will disburse Peranti Siswa tablets at centralised locations in every state to expedite their delivery to eligible students.

In a statement today, Communications and Multimedia Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the government will disburse the remaining tablets in three separate sessions, namely February 17 to 19 (first session), February 24 to 26 (second session) and March 3 to 5 (third session), at selected public universities.

Fahmi explained that centralising the disbursement of the tablets will allow students the flexibility to choose a suitable centre to receive their devices regardless of which universities that they belong to.

“This means students who are on holiday, undergoing industrial training or for any other reason, can receive the device at selected nearby tablet disbursement centres,” said Fahmi in the statement.

Fahmi also explained that to date, the government has disbursed 315,760 tablets, or 86%, out of 366,843 eligible applicants as of February 9.

This left 51,083 applicants yet to receive their devices, said Fahmi.

Eligible recipients will also receive a notification and can choose the centre of their choosing as well as the appropriate session to pick up their devices by logging in to https://perantisiswa.kkd.gov.my, starting today.
