KUALA LUMPUR – As many as 19,251 individuals in Selangor have been administered with the Covid-19 vaccine in Phase 1 of the national immunisation programme as of yesterday, bringing the nationwide total to 195,923.

In Petaling Jaya today, district police officers file into a vaccination centre to receive their first dose of the vaccine led by chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal. Policemen are included in Phase 1 of the inoculation exercise, which also involves other frontliners, such as doctors, nurses and politicians.

Malaysia launched its vaccination drive on February 24, with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah being among the first to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech shot.
