WHEN we are in a state of panic, stress or fear, the body can accumulate a lot of stiffness and muscular tension. This can get in the way of letting go of what no longer serves us.
When we are able to release physical tension from the body, we are also able to help release a lot of pent up emotions that we might be subconsciously holding on to. The body always gives us clues as to the ‘burdens’ we might be carrying, so always pay attention to all the physical signs - from persistent back pain, to headaches from overthinking or worrying, to tightness in the chest from fearful or anxious thoughts.
