OLICE arrested the biological father and stepmother of a four-year-old boy who died in the Bintulu Hospital from injuries to his head and body.

The hospital alerted police after discovering the injuries on the boy, said Bintulu police chief Nixon Joshua.

"The boy was admitted to the hospital on Oct 15 at about 7.50 pm and later died.

"Examinations on the body found injuries to the head and waist areas.

"The 34-year-old biological father and stepmother, 28, have been placed under remand for seven days,” he said.

Police are probing the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. - October 17, 2024
