THE widow of a road accident victim in Taman Pantai Changi in Singapore on November 5 has appealed for her husband's mobile phone, which was lost during the incident, to be returned as it contains important personal information.
According to Berita Harian SG, Muhammad Isma Azwa Md Salleh, 33, commuted from Johor Bahru to Singapore, where he worked as a surveyor.
He was killed in an accident while on his way to work on Nov 5 at about 8 am.
He was riding his Vespa motorcycle on a straight road when a car had made a turn and hit him.
He leaves behind his wife, Norshahirah Nabihah Mohammad Azan, 33, and a son, Yusuf Muhammad Isma Azwa, who is only eight months old.
It was earlier reported that the couple had waited seven years to have a baby.
According to the deceased's sister-in-law, Nurshahirah Nadiah Muhammad Azan, 37, the couple from Kelantan used to live in Kuala Lumpur but moved to Johor Bahru two years ago to make it easier for the deceased to travel back and forth to be with his family every day.
The family is now seeking the public's help in recovering the iPhone belonging to the deceased, which was lost during the accident.
"The police, family members and friends have tried to find the phone, but it has not been found," said Nurshahirah.
She said a night before the incident the deceased told his wife that he had written a message on his mobile phone, which included his nazar (vows to Allah SWT) and also information about the bank account he had opened for their son, Nurshahirah told Berita Harian.
"We know his mobile phone was taken because his wife was able to check the location shared by her husband. The iPhone seems to have been moved but we have not been able to confirm its location.
"If there is an intention to sell the phone, it is better to sell it to us. We are not angry, we just want the phone," Nurshahirah added.
