DO enforcement officers from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) only clamp the illegally parked 'cheaper' cars and not touch the 'luxury' ones?
A recent social media post by @thenshijin triggered a debate among netizens about whether there was 'selective prosecution' by DBKL when clamping illegally parked cars.
In his post, Clinton said he questioned the DBKL officers why they only clamped his friend's Perodua Bezza while another luxury SUV parked similarly was not.
“For some reason, this car doesn’t get clamped, that car in front doesn’t get clamped, but our car got clamped? Does driving an expensive car mean I can break the rules?” he wrote in his TikTok post.
He said when he questioned the officers why they did not clamp the SUV, they just kept quiet.
After paying the fine, he said he and his friends did not leave and waited to see if the officer clamped the SUV, which they did not.
