A 14-YEAR-old girl's 'activities' with a boy were exposed after her father, who is also a police officer, found an indecent video on his daughter's smartphone.

Kelantan Police Chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said the girl's father was shocked to see the video and lodged a police report recently.

He said the teenager's father felt the need to check his daughter's smartphone after the recent revelation about the increase in sexual crimes in Kelantan.

"A check on the phone found a video of his daughter's sexual activities with a teenage boy.

"He was shocked after seeing the video of his daughter's sexual relations and immediately lodged a report," he said as reported.

Mohd Yusoff said that the recent revelation on the rise in sexual crimes has raised awareness among many parties, including parents, teenagers, and the community.

He recently said that the number of rape and incest cases in Kelantan had increased but investigations showed that many were consensual sex.

"After the revelation, more victims came forward to lodge police reports," he said. – April 16, 2025
