A TRADER claimed that he was assaulted by an individual with ties to the Pahang royal family in an incident at an entertainment outlet, early last month.
The matter was confirmed by Kuantan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu when contacted by Sinar Harian today.
He, however, declined to comment further on the matter.
"The police received a report from the 30-year-old victim on June 5 and the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon," he said.
Earlier, a local portal reported that the police were investigating an individual linked to the Pahang royal family following an incident at an entertainment outlet in Kuantan, early last May.
According to a police report dated June 5 that went viral on social media, the complainant claimed he was invited to the location to resolve a previous incident involving the same individual. - June 13, 2025
