Anwar believed to have discussed Sabah election during meeting with BN MPs

PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is believed to have touched on the Sabah State Election (PRN) during a meeting with Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs last night.

The meeting was held at his official residence in Seri Perdana, Putrajaya.

It is also understood that the Prime Minister will hold a meeting with Pakatan Harapan MPs next Monday at around 4.30pm.

It was reported that several multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) began entering the Seri Perdana Complex compound with Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin arriving at 7.20pm.

This was followed by a vehicle carrying Deputy Prime Minister and BN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at 7.40pm.The meeting is also believed to have discussed current issues including the upcoming parliamentary session.

The Second Meeting of the Fourth Term of the Fifteenth Parliament 2025 is scheduled to take place on July 21.

The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, ended at around 9.20pm.

The vehicle carrying Anwar left the area at 9.34pm, followed by the Prime Minister's Political Secretary Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, a minute later. - July 12, 2025
