IN YET another bullying incident, a Form Three student was injured after he was believed to have been beaten, his pants pulled down and almost strangled with wire by a group of students at a school in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, yesterday.

The incident was allegedly orchestrated by six Form Four students at about 10am when a teacher who was passing by noticed what was going on.

The victim's aunt claimed on Facebook that her nephew was slapped, beaten and had his trousers pulled down.

She claimed that her nephew was almost strangled with wire before the incident was noticed by a teacher who happened to be passing by.

"My nephew was kicked, punched, beaten, slapped, his pants pulled down to his knees, his neck was almost strangled with wire.

“If the teacher hadn’t passed, my nephew might have died at the hands of the bullies.

“Last night, six families came to our house asking us to withdraw the case. I am asking for help so the families of the bullies do not ask my nephew to withdraw this case.

“All the bullies are only in Form Four, but they can think and act to this level. What will happen when they are 20 years old?” she said.

Meanwhile, Pasir Mas District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Kama Azural Mohamed, when contacted by Berita Harian confirmed the incident.

Following the incident, he said, the police arrested six 16-year-old students, and the remand process was carried out this morning.

Police are expected to release a statement soon. - August 20, 2025
