PUTRAJAYA – Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah has been confirmed positive for Covid-19, and will be sent to hospital for treatment and quarantine.

The matter was confirmed in a statement by the rep.

Adhif said he went for screening on Friday after finding out that his driver was down with fever in the previous two days.

“My driver and I went to do the swab test as a precautionary measure on December 25, soon after completing our daily routine, and today (yesterday), we are confirmed positive (for Covid-19) by the hospital.”

He said the both of them are in stable condition, and will be taken by the Health Ministry to hospital.

He said the ministry and relevant authorities have been informed of the matter, and all those who were in close contact with him and his driver will be screened for the virus.

The Dengkil community service centre will be closed for 14 days as a precaution and to allow sanitisation to be carried out, said Adhif.

He said the centre’s staff will observe home quarantine after they undergo testing.
