UNITED Sabah National Organisation (USNO) President Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia and his wife Puan Sri Diana Diego will each contest two State Legislative Assembly (DU) seats in the 17th Sabah General Election (GE).

Pandikar will contest the Pintasan State Assembly seat, while his wife is nominated in the Sekong State Assembly seat, both of which are seats allocated to USNO in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) seat allocation.

Asked about the possibility of boycotts or sabotage among supporters, he said that was inevitable in any election.

“In any election, there is sabotage. That is up to the respective candidates. Not only us, GRS will also face competition from other parties. So, it is up to each party, each must ensure that their candidate wins,” he said.

Responding to a question on whether voters would support his wife who is also contesting, Pandikar said, “We will see later.”

He said he was confident that GRS has chosen candidates who have the potential to win.

Pandikar’s candidacy marks a significant comeback for Usno, one of Sabah’s oldest political parties, as it seeks to re-establish its relevance within the GRS coalition. - November 12, 2025
