HIS Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has granted royal assent to 13 bills passed during the Second Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament, held from July 21 to Sept 10.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul announced the matter before the Ministers’ Question Time today.

He said those granted the royal assent were the Fees (Pengkalan Kubor Ferry) (Validation) Act 2025, Offenders Compulsory Attendance (Amendment) Act 2025, Education (Amendment) Act 2025, National Registration (Amendment) Act 2025, Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management (Amendment) Act 2025, and Local Government (Amendment) Act 2025.

Also, the Street, Drainage and Building (Amendment) Act 2025, Poisons (Amendment) Act 2025, Whistleblower Protection (Amendment) Act 2025, Energy Commission (Amendment) Act 2025, Electricity Supply (Amendment) Act 2025, Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties (Amendment) Act 2025, and Atomic Energy Licensing (Amendment) Act 2025.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women today, Johari also called for stronger public support and understanding to address violence against women and girls, reported Bernama.

“Today, Nov 25, we mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Let us raise global awareness of the violence they endure,” he said.

Yesterday, he encouraged all Members of Parliament to wear orange clothing or accessories during today’s sitting as a gesture of solidarity. - November 25, 2025
