KUALA LANGAT – The Health Ministry has ordered the Banting wet market here to close from 1pm today to January 7 due to Covid-19 infections.

Banting state assemblyman Lau Weng San told the New Straits Times that the closure follows the detection of coronavirus cases on the market’s premises.

The closure order was served to the Kuala Langat Municipal Council today.

Council president Datuk Amirul Azizan Abdul Rahim was quoted as saying that a public sanitisation exercise will be conducted.

“I urge the public to be patient, cooperate, and adhere to the SOPs issued by the National Security Council and the ministry,” he said in a statement today. – The Vibes, December 29, 2020
