A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has died after he was believed to have fallen from the seventh floor of an apartment building in Shah Alam on Tuesday.

District police chief Ramsay Embol said authorities received a report of the incident at about 6.44pm.

"The victim was found by members of the public at 4.20pm in an unconscious state at the bottom of the building before being rushed to Hospital Shah Alam for further treatment.

“However, the victim was pronounced dead by a medical officer in the hospital’s Red Zone at 5.40pm,” he said.

He said initial investigations at the scene did not uncover any elements of criminal wrongdoing.

"The case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR), and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the actual cause of death.

"Members of the public with information related to the incident are urged to contact the investigating officer, Inspector Zulhusni Hasani, at 011-39360779 or the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters at 03-55202222 to assist in the investigation," he said.

The case has been classified as a sudden death report, with a post-mortem examination to be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. - March 25, 2026
