SUBANG MP Wong Chen has openly challenged Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) to expel him if the party leadership is serious about taking action against him.

In a Facebook post, Wong dismissed any need for him to resign his parliamentary seat, insisting the party should proceed directly with disciplinary measures if it has grounds to do so.

“There’s no need to wait for me to resign as an MP — just sack me,” he said.

The post was accompanied by a video of Wong attending and speaking at the Jelajah Kancil Negeri Sembilan programme organised by Parti Bersama Malaysia.

In his speech, Wong revealed that he had received a show-cause letter from PKR’s disciplinary board over his attendance at a political direction programme led by former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli in May.

In the roughly 46-second clip, he doubled down on his challenge, accusing party leaders of hesitating to act.

“If they’re brave, they don’t need to ask me to resign. They want me to step down, but they’re afraid. If six MPs walk out, they’re finished,” he said.

Wong maintained that he would continue serving constituents in Subang even if he were expelled from PKR.

He is reportedly among six PKR MPs who attended Rafizi’s programme, alongside Datuk Bakhtiar Wan Chik (Balik Pulau), Rodziah Ismail (Ampang), Zahir Hassan (Wangsa Maju), and Lee Chean Chung (Petaling Jaya). – June 15, 2026
