AIRASIA has warned members of the public to exercise extreme caution after a fraudulent website impersonating the airline's official recruitment portal emerged in an apparent attempt to deceive job seekers into divulging personal information and making illegitimate payments.
The airline said the fake recruitment platform, operating under the domain airasiaexpress.com, closely resembles AirAsia's genuine careers website and is being used to lure applicants into a fabricated hiring process.
In a statement today, the airkine said the scam involves requesting sensitive personal information from prospective candidates before demanding so-called "processing fees" to advance non-existent job applications.
The airline stressed that its only official recruitment portal is careers.airasia.com and reiterated that it never requests payment at any stage of its hiring process.
"Job seekers are advised that AirAsia's official careers portal is exclusively located at careers.airasia.com and the company never charges processing fees for job applications."
AirAsia urged applicants to remain vigilant and avoid sharing personal, financial or payment information with unauthorised websites or individuals claiming to represent the company.
