KUALA LUMPUR – Another restaurant in Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) has been closed since yesterday after staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

Ina statement last night, the Oriental Group said several kitchen staff at The Ming Room tested positive and outlet has been closed for sanitisation works.

“All our staff at the outlet have been sent for RT-PCR testing and are under necessary quarantine according the Health Ministry guidelines.

“The ministry will conduct contact tracing and customers may refer to it for further verification.”

Meanwhile, BSC management said The Ming Room outlet has undergone deep sanitisation in accordance to National Security Council guidelines.

“Rest assured that BSC has continuously adhered to all Covid-19 regulations while conscientiously observing the necessary preventative and precautionary measures. Thorough sanitisation is also performed daily at our mall and office tower areas.”

It was reported yesterday morning that a Huckleberry outlet at the mall was closed after a kitchen staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

In the afternoon, Huckleberry management in another statement said that its other staff members at the BSC outlet tested negative after undergoing the RT-PCR screening.

However, the outlet remains closed until further notice. – The Vibes, January 12, 2021
