KUALA LUMPUR – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri has reminded Covid-19 patients to keep a positive mindset throughout their treatment.

Zulkifli, who was treated at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban after testing positive for the coronavirus on October 4 last year, also advised patients to spend their time reading and getting closer to Allah.

“Our biggest test is when we are hit by a disaster like this. For Muslims, the first thing is to always feel humble and learn to become more patient,” he said in a Facebook post.

He shared a video of him meeting patients and frontliners at the low-risk quarantine and treatment centre at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang.

The minister was separated from them by a glass partition.

Zulkifli also presented them with copies of his book, titled “Hari-Hari Tarbiah Dalam Hidupku”, on his experience as a Covid-19 patient, and distributed food donated by the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation.

He expressed sadness that frontliners appeared exhausted, as did patients.

“I understand their feelings because I have been in their situation. Pray for Allah to continue to protect Malaysia.” – Bernama, January 22, 2021
