KUALA LUMPUR – Two siblings who attend Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) have tested positive for Covid-19, said the institution.

“It is most unfortunate that we had a pair of siblings who became exposed to Covid-19 from their family, as informed to us by the Health Ministry,” said a statement by principal Wong Chee Kheon.

“One of the students is part of the exam cohort of Year 11, while the other is in Year 7.”

The school said it will close till October 22, on the advice of the Education Department, to conduct contact tracing and sanitisation works.

“The school has completed its deep disinfection and sanitisation process undertaken by Rentokil, and can again be used as an exam centre for the ongoing IGSCE exams,” said the statement.

“Therefore, the IGCSE 2020 exams will continue with the approval of the authorities.” – The Vibes, October 16, 2020
