PN bigwigs at Publika HQ to discuss fight for survival

KUALA LUMPUR – Perikatan Nasional leaders are converging at its headquarters in Publika here this morning after a Bersatu meeting last night.

Discussions are expected to revolve around the coalition’s survival after its chief, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, resigned as prime minister on Monday.

Now, the government is led by Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, with the race hotting up for the deputy prime minister and cabinet posts.

About 10am, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, Srikandi Bersatu chief Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun and PAS Youth chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin arrived at the PN headquarters, according to the Malaysia Gazette.

Other leaders said to be joining the meeting to be chaired by Muhyiddin are Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu and PN Youth information chief Muhammad Hilman Idham. – The Vibes, August 22, 2021
