KUALA LUMPUR – Seven teenage boys have been found after they were reported missing in Jeram Gunung Hitam, Hulu Langat, yesterday.
Although the rescue teams found them in the jungle at 1.15am, they were finally out of the jungle at 5.59am, reported Harian Metro.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the lost teens, all aged 18, could not find their way out of the jungle but were contactable via their mobile phones.
The search teams involved 28 officers from Bandar Tun Hussein Onn Fire and Rescue Department, Multi-skill Team (MUST), and Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team.
They were joined by the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Force, police, Red Crescent and Disaster rescue teams.
“The boys were found unharmed at 1.51am. The operation to get them out of area took about four hours. They were out by 5.59am,” said Norazam. – The Vibes, September 6, 2021
