KUALA LUMPUR – Perikatan Nasional has called on all politicians to set aside their differences and stand united with the people in the fight against Covid-19, as well as efforts to revive the national economy.

Information chief Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, in a statement issued a day after Umno resolved to continue backing the pact, said PN welcomes the solidarity shown by its components in demonstrating strong support for the prime minister’s leadership.

“Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s administration has shown leadership and cooperation with all health and economic specialists, along with security teams, to develop short-, medium- and long-term plans to tackle the disease holistically.”

On Sunday, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah shot down Muhyiddin’s bid to declare an emergency over Covid-19.
