KOTA KINABALU – Children under the age of 12 in Sabah will be allowed out to enter business premises and participate in recreational activities accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents from tomorrow onwards.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said teenagers aged between 12 and 18 who have received at least one dose are also allowed to undertake similar activities from tomorrow onwards.

“Children under the age of 12 will be allowed to dine in restaurants, enter business premises like malls and hotels, swim, camp, and go for picnics, if they are accompanied by their fully vaccinated parents.

“Meanwhile those aged between 12 to 18 who have at least received one dose are allowed to dine in restaurants, enter malls and hotels, and go for picnics and camping,” he said in a statement here tonight.

On weekly market, night markets, and tamu, Masidi said such activities are also allowed from tomorrow onwards in districts that are at least 60% fully vaccinated, but based on risk evaluation and approval from the respective local governments.

He added however that visitors to these markets and operators must be fully vaccinated before they are allowed to participate.

The state is expected to decide on whether to allow interstate travel on Wednesday.
