LUNDU – Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will field at least 20 new faces in the coming Sarawak election, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) vice-president Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said.

He said the new faces would comprise youths and experienced individuals.

Karim added that the final list of candidates will be announced by chief minister and GPS chairman Datuk Abang Johari Tun Openg later.

“I am in the party and I know which (state) seats will be involved. There will be at least 20 new faces,” he told reporters after attending the Ziarah Belia @ Tanjung Datu programme here today.

On October 24, GPS secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said that GPS will contest in all 82 constituencies in the election.

GPS comprises PBB, Parti Rakyat Sarawak, Sarawak United People’s Party, and Progressive Democratic Party. – Bernama, November 10, 2021
