[UPDATED] Malaysia exceeds 4,000 Covid-19 cases today

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia has passed the 4,000-mark in its daily caseload, recording 4,066 Covid-19 infections today.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this brings the cumulative caseload to 2,840,225. 

Meanwhile, ProtectHealth Corp Sdn Bhd CEO Datuk Anas Alam Faizli tweeted that between January 25, 2020 and January 19, 2022, 31 deaths were recorded among children aged five to 11.

At the same time, there were 269,773 Covid-19 cases among children in the same period.

According to the ministry’s GitHub portal, 10 deaths due to Covid-19 were recorded yesterday, with three cases in Selangor, Sabah (two) and one each in Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Melaka and Pahang. – The Vibes, January 25, 2022
