KUALA LUMPUR – Some 142 areas in the Petaling and Klang districts are facing unscheduled water supply disruptions following a broken pipe in Section 15, Shah Alam.

Air Selangor said in a statement that the incident was caused by roadworks carried out by a third party near the Federal Highway yesterday, resulting in emergency remedial works today.

“The remedial works are expected to end tomorrow at 3am and water supply will resume in stages.”

It said water supply restoration will vary according to the location and distance of the consumers’ premises.

Water tankers will be mobilised to affected areas, with priority being given to critical premises impacted throughout the unscheduled water supply disruption.

Consumers are asked to observe physical distancing and wear masks while taking water from the tankers.

They can refer to official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, or call 15300. – The Vibes, January 26, 2022
