KUALA LUMPUR – The eldest brother of one of the victims in today’s helicopter crash in Taman Melawati found out about 41-year-old Mohd Irfan Fikri Mohamed Rawi’s death from a WhatsApp group.
Irfan was the fourth of 10 siblings, reported Bernama.
Dr Mohd Izani Mohd Rawi, who is the eldest of the 10, said he contacted the person who shared news of the noon crash after recognising his brother’s hand and watch.
“My parents have been informed, and two of my siblings are on their way here. We are unsure if his body will be sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL). There has been no official information,” he said at HKL’s National Institute of Forensic Medicine.
Mohamed Sabri Baharom, 56, is the other victim who died in the accident.
Two helicopters crashed in Taman Melawati, Ampang, with the accident involving a woman and three men.
The aircraft had taken off from Subang and were headed to Genting Sempah.
The authorities believe that the helicopters were conducting flight tests before the pilot of one of them lost control of the aircraft. – The Vibes, November 8, 2020
