KUALA LUMPUR – The annual general meeting of Bersatu will be held from November 12 to 13, said Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

Hamzah said in a statement today that the annual party branch meetings have been set to be held from August 19 to September 18, division meetings from October 8 to 9 and the wings’ general assembly from November 10 to 11.

He said the decision was reached at the Bersatu supreme council meeting on June 8 chaired by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

According to Hamzah, the meeting also decided that the party elections at the branch level would be postponed to another date not more than 18 months from the date the election should have been held.

“The meeting also unanimously agreed to appoint Tan Sri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad as a new member,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bersatu asked the government to take comprehensive measures to curb the rising prices of goods and ensure adequate supply of daily necessities.
