69 Johor flood victims evacuated

JOHOR BARU – Eighteen families, comprising 69 people, from Kg Laut Batu 10, Skudai, and Kg Pasir Tampoi here were evacuated to temporary relief centres yesterday after their homes were hit by flash floods.

State Health and Environment Committee chairman R. Vidyananthan said as at 8am today, those from Kg Laut Batu 10 (38 people) are seeking shelter at SK Batu 10, while the remaining 31 are at SK Kg Pasir.

The SK Batu 10 shelter was opened about 6pm yesterday, while the one at SK Kg Pasir began operating at 8pm. – Bernama, November 23, 2020
