KUALA LUMPUR – The government has been urged to not practice selective prosecution or investigation, said Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz (Padang Rengas-BN) when asked about the probe into a video allegedly implicating a senior minister.

“I implore the attorney-general, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the police to refrain from selective prosecution and investigations. Promises that were made have to be kept.

“The rakyat are not stupid, the rakyat are smart. What needs to be done should be done.

“We can’t say just because PH (Pakatan Harapan) did it before, we can now do the same. Two wrongs do not make one right. And the people will punish us in the 15th general election”

He was asked by Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin (Hang Tuah Jaya-PH) to give his opinion on a video allegedly implicating a senior minister and the investigation into the matter was dropped.

Earlier, Nazri spoke about Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement that all appointments by the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration must not have any ongoing criminal cases.

“My hope is that this promise must be kept,” said Nazri. – The Vibes, November 30, 2020
