Cops confirm dismembered body found along highway near Rawang

KUALA LUMPUR – The dismembered body of an unidentified person was found in a black bag by members of the public at KM447 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS) near the Southbound Rawang exit yesterday morning.

Sg Buloh police chief Shafa’aton Abu Bakar said police found a head, two legs, and hands of the victim stuffed in a black bag at the scene.

Shafa’aton said police were notified of the gruesome find at 11.44am.

“Initially a dismembered body without the head, legs and hands was found at the scene. There were no identification documents found,” said an earlier statement from the police.

According to police, the body parts were later sent to the Sg Buloh Hospital for post-mortem while investigations are being carried out under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Shafa’aton said anyone with information can contact the nearest police station. – Bernama, January 18, 2023
