KUALA LUMPUR – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Functions) Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali will oversee the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry following the death of Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the ministerial appointment will be decided after the state elections.

“He is not appointed a minister...give me some time and I will decide on who to appoint. But for now, Armizan has been given the responsibility to oversee the ministry.

“Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Fuziah Salleh was told about Armizan serving as the caretaker minister and she understands that,” he said after the closing ceremony of the 2023 Consumer National Day celebrations.
