SINGAPORE – Singapore will impose an additional seven-day testing regime on all newly arrived workers in the construction, marine and process sectors from higher-risk countries or regions after they are done with their 14-day stay-home notice (SHN).
The move takes effect on Friday.
The Manpower Ministry, in a statement today, said the requirement, which will apply to work permit and S Pass holders, is aimed at further reducing the risk of Covid-19 transmission at the workplace stemming from new arrivals.
It will also apply to those with in-principle approval letters, as well as workers yet to complete the 14-day SHN as of Friday. – Bernama, February 3, 2021
