MALAYSIA'S hip-hop veteran, Joe Flizzow, has announced his latest grand project – a solo concert.

Joe's solo project, with hits like ‘Apa Khabar’ featuring SonaOne, is popular on the radio and won big at the 29th Anugerah Juara Lagu.

Joe remains an icon in the music industry, especially among the younger generation of hip-hop and rap artists.

After years of perseverance, many achievements as well as accolades both locally and internationally, Joe has decided to party with his fans. The Joe Flizzow “This Is Johan Live In Concert” will take place on July 15 at JioSpace.

The concert is organised by JioBuddy in collaboration with Altus ProHouse and production partner Level Up, Universal Music Malaysia and DefJam Recordings South East Asia.

The official radio partner is Era FM and Astro Gempak is digital partner.

"With the resurgence of the music industry, including fellow musicians being able to resume open performances or concerts after the pandemic, our team at JioBuddy feels that this is the perfect moment to hold Joe Flizzow ‘This Is Johan Live In Concert’.

"We believe that this concert will be his greatest solo concert ever held with over 15 years of hard work and determination," said Sean Ng, CEO of JioBuddy.

The concert will see Joe collaborating with fellow musicians to deliver unforgettable performances of his repertoire of hits like ‘Sampai Jadi’, ‘CIAO’, ‘Satu Malam Di Temasek’, ‘Sang Saka Biru’, and ‘Kongsi’.

"I don't want this show to be remembered only as a performance or concert. This is where music enthusiasts appreciate all the hard work throughout my battling career.

"Come to this concert and feel our unwavering spirit. I'm waiting for you here, there will be many surprises and adrenaline-pumping performances because this is my first solo concert in more than 10 years," said Joe.

When asked why the concert is being held at JioSpace in Petaling Jaya and not a bigger venue in Kuala Lumpur, Joe replied that being a Subang Jaya lad, born and bred, he felt it would be refreshing to honour the suburb (Petaling Jaya) with a performance for a change.

“I want to party in PJ. If I could, I’d play 40 songs, but the concert is about two hours, so we’re still finalising the song list. Hip hop has evolved over the years, and I’m hoping we’ll bring a refreshing way of presenting hip hop at this concert.”

Throughout his solo career, Joe has produced two full albums – The President in 2008 and Havoc in 2013.

Don't miss Joe Flizzow “This Is Johan Live In Concert” which will be held on July 15 at 8.30pm at JioSpace in Petaling Jaya.

Tickets will go on sale on May 12, and can be purchased through www.jiotix.asia. – The Vibes, May 10, 2023
