A WOMAN who claims to be a rape survivor has gone viral on TikTok after revealing that she is now pregnant as a result of the assault, saying she is not seeking sympathy but simply sharing her ordeal.
In an emotional video posted yesterday, the woman said the rape case had previously been resolved. However, she is now facing a new challenge after a medical examination on Feb 19 confirmed that she is expecting.
“I was feeling unwell and went to a clinic for a check-up. I was shocked when the doctor told me I was pregnant and that the foetus already had a heartbeat,” she said in the video.
According to her, the pregnancy has led to further hardship. She claimed that she was dismissed from her job and instructed to vacate her employer-provided hostel on short notice.
“Because of this baby, I lost my job. I am currently staying at the hostel, and my employer has given me until tomorrow to move out,” she said.
The woman added that she has no family to rely on and is living on her own, making her circumstances even more difficult.
Despite her situation, she stressed that she is not asking for financial contributions. Instead, she is appealing for prayers and moral support from the public.
“Alhamdulillah, thank you for the positive responses and kind prayers. I am not asking for money. I only ask for prayers from everyone out there,” she said, expressing gratitude for the encouragement she has received.
Her video has since drawn widespread attention online, with many social media users expressing sympathy and offering words of encouragement.
Some commenters suggested that she seek assistance from registered shelters or welfare homes, while others urged her to remain strong and to take care of her pregnancy.
Many also offered prayers that her affairs would be eased and reminded her not to harbour resentment toward the unborn child, encouraging her to prioritise her well-being during the pregnancy.
