AS Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC celebrates their title tomorrow (October 15), US singer and songwriter Jason Derulo will be on stage performing.

The club made the announcement this morning on posts on their official social media feeds.

The celebration is expected to take place after JDT’s last Malaysian Super League match against Sabah at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri.

Tickets for the match at the 40,000 capacity stadium are already sold out.

This will be JDT’s nine consecutive Malaysia Super League title, which was a record itself. The team had also picked up the FA Cup and the Charity Cup this year.

Johor Malaysia Games (Sukma) athletes, the JDT Ice Hockey Team, Johor Jewels (netball), Johor Tigris (sepak takraw) and state rugby players will also attend the event.

This is the latest example of JDT receiving some international renown, as rap legend Snoop Dogg endorsed the club when he collaborated on their anthem for 2022, ‘Pioneers’, alongside Malaysian rap star Joe Flizzow. – The Vibes, October 14, 2022
