A HAIR salon in Pavilion, Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur has lodged a police report after a man fled after receiving a bill of RM890 for cutting and styling.

In the report, the salon said its staff had since reached out to the man on Instagram for him to settle the payment but have not heard from him since.

The incident occurred last week after the man had also contacted the salon on Instagram.

When the man received the bill, he tried to settle it using his debit card but failed several times.

He then went to an ATM nearby to withdraw the money but disappeared after he said he was going to the toilet.

According to a Facebook post uploaded by user Eddy Teller, the salon lodged a report at the Dang Wangi police station while all other related details, including CCTV footage of the man, had been furnished.

The post was accompanied by a message appealing to anyone who knew the man to ask him to return to the salon and settle his bill.

The post has since been shared by netizens, with some expressing shock over the RM890 bill.

Some said consumers should be more aware and ask for the price first, while others said the man ran away as he probably expected the bill to be between RM200 to RM300. – The Vibes, November 20, 2023
