THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has handed over efforts to locate Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh, who went missing on April 9 while en route to its headquarters, to the police.

In a statement today, MACC said her legal representative had lodged a report regarding her disappearance on the same day she failed to show up in Putrajaya.

"MACC refers to the case involving a Malaysian citizen who has been reported missing since April 9.

"For the record, the woman known as Pamela Ling Yueh was requested to present herself at the MACC Headquarters on April 9 to assist in investigations under the MACC Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.

"However, the woman failed to show up at the MACC Headquarters on the specified date, and MACC officers were unable to reach her through her communication device.

"A police report regarding her disappearance was also lodged on the same day by her legal representative," it said.

It urged the public not to speculate or spread information from unverified sources and to allow the police the space to carry out their investigation.

Earlier, police said they were yet to identify any leads in the case.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said that police have interviewed 12 people to assist with the investigation into the missing woman.

“There are still no indications or developments regarding her whereabouts,” Rusdi said.

Police earlier confirmed that no ransom demand had been received for the 42-year-old mother, and they are still investigating. - May 4, 2025
