NURUL Izzah Anwar strongly and vehemently condemned the recent attack on Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli’s son, describing it as ‘truly horrific’.
“No child should ever be exposed to such danger.
“Such an act is not only a serious and heinous crime, but also a violation of the most basic principles of humanity,” she said.
As a human being and as a mother, Izzah said she understood the anxiety and distress that Rafizi and his family are enduring.
“I am personally affected, as in recent weeks I have been focused on efforts to protect schoolchildren from threats and bullying, including in the digital space,” she said.
Politics may be a battlefield of ideas and opinions, but the safety of children and families must never be used as leverage or bargaining chips, said Izzah.
On behalf of the entire KEADILAN family, she urged the authorities to act immediately, investigate transparently, and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice without compromise and without exception.
She said that no one should ever be made a target or a victim in political games, in any form whatsoever.
“We condemn those who resort to violence, thuggery and intimidation to achieve their ends.
“I express my heartfelt sympathy to Ben, Fisha and Raf, and pray that Allah SWT grants them strength, and protection.
“Let us unite in fighting against the culture of bullying and intimidation and build Malaysia as a nation that is truly safe for all our children,” she added. – August 14, 2025
