MORE than 36,000 jobseekers in Kelantan have successfully secured either permanent or temporary employment through the MYFutureJobs portal since 2022, according to the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO).
PERKESO’s Head of the Employment Insurance System Office, Datuk Asri Ab Rahman, said the figure — out of 161,000 registered jobseekers — reflects the effectiveness of ongoing government efforts to strengthen the labour market and provide an efficient job-matching platform.
“This reflects a positive trend and the success of various initiatives spearheaded by PERKESO, especially through MYFutureJobs, which not only connects employers and jobseekers but also offers guidance and social protection,” he said after officiating the MYFutureJobs Career Carnival here today.
The career fair saw participation from 21 employers across various sectors, offering over 5,300 vacancies in services, manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, the public sector, and security.
Among the key employers present were Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd, Pos Malaysia Berhad, Liquid Palm Edible Sdn Bhd, Top Glove Corporation Berhad, and the Malaysian Army — all offering competitive remuneration across permanent and contract roles.
Asri added that one of the highest-paying roles on offer was for dental practitioners, with salaries ranging from RM10,000 to RM12,999. He emphasised the availability of professional, technical and support roles catering to a wide range of applicants.
“Through our PERKESO Lindung Anok Kelate initiative, we want to stress that every citizen, regardless of background or job type, deserves protection, guidance, and the opportunity to thrive in their career,” he said.
The event also included the presentation of aid under the PERKESO-SSM Cakna Prihatin Programme, a strategic partnership between PERKESO and the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
Through a combined total of RM148,783.90 in corporate zakat and CSR funds, 20 recipients in Kelantan received entrepreneurial equipment and social protection under the Lindung Kendiri initiative. - October 11, 2025
