A WOMAN was found dead with cuts to her neck at a workers' dormitory in Nilai, on Monday.

Nilai District Police Chief, Superintendent Johari Yahya, said police received information about the incident at 11.21 pm from a man via a MERS 999 call.

"The man informed about the discovery of a foreign woman in her 30s, unconscious and covered in blood, on the fourth-floor stairs of a foreign workers' dormitory.

"Initial examination at the scene found that the victim suffered multiple injuries to her neck and was confirmed dead at the scene," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to him, a forensic examination by Division D10 of the Negeri Sembilan Contingent Headquarters found that there were repeated cuts to the victim's neck using a sharp weapon.

He said the motive for the incident was still under investigation, but the police did not rule out the possibility of a personal or financial conflict based on initial evidence obtained.

"The case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

"Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to come forward to assist in the investigation by contacting the Nilai District Police Headquarters at 06-7904222 or any nearby police station," he said. – March 4, 2026
