NS crisis: PN sec-gen expected to issue a statement to clarify matters, says Muhyiddin
"This is not a Bseratu issue. This is also a PAS issue, and we are taking a stand in the name of Perikatan Nasional (PN)," said Muhyiddin - April 28, 2026

BERSATU President, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, said they were waiting for the Secretary-General of Perikatan Nasional to issue a statement to clarify the crisis in Negeri Sembilan.

Speaking at the High Court compound today, he said the conflict does not only involve Bersatu, but also PAS and is being handled in the capacity of the PN coalition.

"This is not a Bseratu issue. This is also a PAS issue, and we are taking a stand in the name of Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"So I think it is appropriate that a statement either from the Chairman or the Secretary-General (PN) be issued. You can ask the PN Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan," he said.

Yesterday, five Negeri Sembilan PN State Assemblymen (ADUNs) were reported to be ready to work with Barisan Nasional (BN) to ensure the stability of the state administration, which is currently facing a leadership crisis.

The matter was announced by Labu State Assemblyman (ADUN), Mohamad Hanifah Abu Baker, in a special press conference yesterday.

Earlier, all 14 Umno assemblymen unanimously announced their loss of confidence and withdrawal of support for the state government led by Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, who is also the PKR assemblyman for the Sikamat constituency.

State Umno chairman Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias stressed that the action was taken because he was disappointed with the crisis in Negeri Sembilan's customary and constitutional institutions, which had affected the administration of the state government, in addition to having a profound impact on the stability of the government and the harmony of the people. – April 28, 2026
