THE Road Transport Department (JPJ) has warned members of the public not to fall victim to fake job vacancy advertisements circulating online that feature QR codes and misuse the department’s official logo.

In a statement, the department said it had received complaints regarding the fraudulent advertisements and confirmed that the postings are not legitimate.

“JPJ wishes to emphasise that the advertisement is fake. Members of the public are advised not to be easily deceived by promotions circulated through advertisements or unauthorised accounts in order to avoid any confusion and financial losses,” the department said.

The department advised the public to verify any information directly with JPJ before responding to job offers or online promotions.

It also encouraged the public to channel official complaints or inquiries through the government’s public complaints portal at [https://jpj.spab.gov.my/](https://jpj.spab.gov.my/).
