KUALA LUMPUR – A doctor at a government hospital who checked in via MySejahtera has been fined RM1,000 for failing to take a screenshot of the check-in confirmation.
There are two ways to check-in via MySejahtera: through the app, or a third-party QR code scanner.
The doctor, who chose to remain anonymous, said she used a third-party scanner.
“What happens after scanning the code is that a browser opens up, and the person fills in their details on an online form,” she said.
“After filling up my form and sending it, my check-in was confirmed, and I went about my business.”
However, police officers conducting standard operating procedure compliance inspections did not believe her.
“I couldn’t prove that I really did check-in. Apparently, I was supposed to screenshot the confirmation,” said the doctor, adding that she showed the officers how she checked in, but this proved insufficient.
The doctor has contacted the premises to access closed-circuit television camera footage of herself having her temperature taken and using MySejahtera.
She has also emailed MySejahtera’s help desk to access her check-in history, but yet to receive a response. – The Vibes, February 13, 2021
